At The Liverpool Baha’i Centre,

Each session will start with a short presentation of pictures of Baha’u’llah’s life
with brief commentary. Workshops by Wendi Momen, Paul Phillips, Ian and Clare Ramaix-Thompson on Bonding, Crisis, our reactions to it, Devotionals, how to arrange them, Meditation, Parenting, Virtues Project, Listening- do we really listen.

Saturday evening brief cameos by those who met Baha’u’llah, Music and social.

All for 60 UKpounds shared room, 80 U.K.pounds single room, non-residents 30.UKpounds

Baha’i Web Site Training Weekend (UK)

Liverpool Baha’i Centre 3rd-5th October 2008

Building a Baha’i Website with Rob Spaull., a professional web designer.

By the end of the weekend you will know how to build a simple, attractive and effective website, for your local Baha’i community and learn how to promote it on search engines, using professional techniques and practices..

From 8 p.m , Friday 3rd October, to lunchtime Sunday 5th October.
Full board{except Friday evening meal} for 60 UK pounds, sharing a twin room. Single rooms 80 UK pounds.

You will need to bring your own laptop/pc and be comfortable in using it.
Necessary software will be provided

While this is a basic introduction to web design, it is assumed that participants will be comfortable working with computers and have a basic knowledge of internet terms and concepts.

Baha’i Academy for the Arts 2008 (UK)

The Baha’i Academy for the Arts is delighted to announce that it is returning this summer, at a new venue. The Academy will take place from Saturday 2 August – Saturday 9 August at Wellington College, Crowthorne, Berkshire.

Our new motto is Transformation – Creativity – Service. Our aim is to not only learn new skills and discover our hidden gems, but to put them to service in the process of community building.

The Academy will as ever feature its highly successful mixture of courses, evening performances, film screenings and other creative activities for all ages. It is the ideal event for your family, friends, community of interest members and contacts.

COMMUNITY BUILDING SEMINAR (United Kingdom)

COMMUNITY BUILDING, or Strengthening Groups

Saturday 17th May 2008, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Liverpool Baha’i Centre.

A day course by Thomas Rowan, who has spent almost all of his Baha’i life as a pioneer in Africa and South America, where he has been offering courses on community building after serving in Columbia.

The course is arts based.

Persian-Language Conference

“The Conference of Persian Arts and Letters” — now in its 11th year!

Location: Hilton Hotel in Watford, UK

Dates: 26th to 30th December.

This year’s theme is “Globalisation of the Faith”. Mr. Ali Nakhjavani is the key speaker.

This year on a trial basis, some of the talks will also be in English, but space for the English-sessions is limited to 60 only.
